How we helped a Physiotherapist Grow their Business in a few Months
Previously our client had been mostly using their Facebook Business page to promote their business.
As we pointed out, they didn't have a strategy for aquiring Facebook friends that would need their services and so they were promoting their services to the same people over and over with little results.
We had already started to do some filming with them, focusing on specific injuries that they treated time and again - back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain etc
Phone Lines Down!
Then, in a panic their phone lines went down. Their business unit had been confused with a private residence and they had been disconected.
This had happened to them before and so they knew it wouldn't be a quick fix.
And so they contacted us and asked how we could help to drive up online bookings.
So we set up some video ads on Facebook targetting specific injuries to specific people within their catchement area.
We started with Back Pain which was their number one treatment and also Home Visits which no other Physio was doing locally.
Bookings Up!
In a matter of days their bookings went up.
We A/B tested the ads to improve them further and also added knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain ads - all using carefully crafted videos.
Every Ad was based on a short punchy video where the Physio / Sports Rehabilitator demonstrated the exercise to the client and they repeated it.
We then re-did the Ads to include additional services related to that injury such as strapping and massage.
7 months in and we are now adding Accupuncture treatments into the mix following some more filming sessions.
Yes it cost them some money for the filming and editing. Yes they had to pay us for managing the Ad campaigns and yes they had to spend money on Advertising credit but becauase the ads are Pay Per Click and very targeted and specific, a high percentage of clicks were turned into bookings.
Most Facebook ads in the health industry cost around 70p click. We were and still are getting it down to 14-16 pence per click!
This means they were getting a lot more clicks for their budget and so the campaigns were (and still are) very cost effective.
Video is poweful when it tells a story and that's what our Ads did.
The call to action was on the screen all the way through the advert and so, whether they watched 5 seconds or 30 seconds, they knew what the next step was.
Landing Pages
Additionally we drove the clicks through to landing pages on their website specific to that injury / treatment type and so once they clicked through the booking process was clear and straight forward with nothing to confuse the process. This further helped to increase the bookings.
As I type we continue month on month to refine the ads and to add new Ads as we build up a library of video clips covering the services they offer.
It's been a gradual process. They didn't jump in with both feet but even after a few weeks they could see this was a form of marketing that was working really well for them and the return on investment made it well worth the initial costs.
Let us Tell Your Story

We'd love to hear from you.
This has been an ongoing annual project for LHCP. We are on the 4th edition as of 2022.
Each year, starting in September they compile and feed us content and photos covering the curriculum and contributions from the various year groups as well as group photos, school news, topical national / global news, staff leaving and joining etc..
Isobel builds a small team of mainly year 5 and 6 pupils who help collate the content.
They aim to have all the content to us by early June for completion and printing by mid July.
It’s a great keepsake for the pupils as a reflection of all they have achieved in the year – especially Year 6 leavers.
It's also a great project for the pupils to improve their writing skills and they enjoy the opportunity for their creative self-expression to be printed in a quality publication.
It’s also been helpful for the head teacher to show off to prospective parents.
This video is a testimonial from Isobel Parker who leads the project.
Your School Magazine?

Kathie Cooke approached us in 2019 as she was about to launch her private Menopause Clinic in Liverpool.
This is what Kathy had to say about us and the work we've done for her:
Andy and EWDP were recommended to me when I was setting up my business in 2019.
Everything I’ve needed to launch and expand my business has been provided by EWDP and I’m very grateful to them.
To begin with, I didn’t really know what I needed – they gave suggestions regarding the design, content and layout of my website, listened to my ideas, and then interpreted them into a logo and website I’m really happy with.
They have supported me on many occasions, with good humour and professionalism, through any IT related issues I’ve had (due to my very limited IT knowledge), and general queries about running a business – above and beyond the scope of their usual remit, I’m sure!
EWDP have supported me as my business expanded, integrating an appointment booking system that works for me. They’ve designed promotional material – from business cards, flyers and pamphlets to my car advert. They’ve recently taken promotional headshot photos too.
All work has been completed on time, as promised. I have always found Andy, Dave and Team approachable, accessible and reliable.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Branding & Business Cards
She wanted business cards and a website and we also suggested we first sort her branding and design her logo. That was our first step and after providing a handful of designs we narrowed it down to variations of the design she liked the best and from there we finalised it to her chosen design.
Website & Email
That gave us the logo, colour scheme and fonts to adopt for her website and business cards which we delivered next along with a domain and business email services.
E-Flyer PDF
In order to spread the word and demonstrate her competency she wrote some content for an e-flyer which should could send to other professionals who would send her client referrals. This worked a treat and gave her the initial appointment bookings she needed to get going.
Leaflets
Next she needed leaflets to give out to clients and so we duly obliged with the design and print of an A5 handout.
Mini Cooper Car Wrap
Following the purchase of her new Mini Cooper Kathie approached us to ask if we could sort the design of the livery (car decall).
We did the design and booked the signage company to do the print and fitting.
Social Media Training
In order for local ladies to be made aware of Kathies services we suggested that alongside her website she used Facebook to increase branding awareness. We offered pay-per-click advert campaigns but as she was only just starting out and working part-time she had the time to do some posts herself and so we delivered some Social Media training in how to use Facebook effectively.
Pop-up Banner & Door Plate
In order for clients to find Kathie in the building and also for the medical conferences she attended we then designed and printed her a pop-up banner and along side that we did the design for her door-plate.
Appointment Booking System
All the hard work paid off and Kathie started to get really busy so much so that she extended her clinic hours. Given her lack of time for admin we added an appointment booking system to her website to reduce the number of phone calls and admin she was having to do. The system had to be flexible enough to cope with Kathie's availability each week and for her to add additional slots when she got busy.
Headshot Photo Shoot
The profile photo we were using on her website initially was taken on her smartphone and in 2021 she asked for us to a professional head-shot photo shoot. Kathie came to our purpose built studio in Longton for he close-up. We discussed various backdrops and looks but decided in the end to keep it clean and go with a white background and plain clothing.
We provided her with a dozen photo proofs and from that she chose the photo she liked best which then re-touched and uploaded to her website and sent her formats for print and social media.
SEO Optimisation using Blog Posts
In discussion with Kathie we talked about how we could attract additional clients to her website by improving her SEO and adding additional keywords using a blog section. Kathie wrote some blogs and we added them to a blog section on he website with some relevant images.
Migrating Emails to Google Workspace (Gmail for business)
Kathie was struggling with BlueMail / Outlook and preferred the Gmail interface and so, in order to keep her email address we migrated her emails to Google Workspace (not for the faint hearted!)
A4 Folded to A5 Flyer
Out most recent work for Kathie was to produce a new A4 folded to A5 Flyer for an event she's speaking at which we designed and printed.
In summary, to date we have provided the following services to Kathie in less than 3 years:

- Website including hosting and email services
- Formated several blog-style PDF's
- Design & Print of A5 Handouts

The Project Brief
Harry commissioned us to produce an animated advert for his new business New Replacement Kitchen Doors.
We had previsouly done some video work for Harry producing how-to videos for the drilling and fitting of the doors and this came in handy.
The brief was to show off the most popular range of doors on a wire-frame model of a kitchen with fast paced animation, music and professional narration.
We have produced many websites for the Service Solutions Group of companies over the years, however this project presented us with the fresh challenge of a fully bespoke development project.
Their old contractors database was out of date and the company that developed it no-longer exists.
Consequently we started from the ground up, firstly by providing a detailed technical spec outlining the fields, layout, design and functionality and then, upon sign-off developing a PHP & MYSQL based database and web site which presents potential contractors with a wizard based, multi-screen form.
From the original concept of Lisa Pye (or Auntie as she is better known) and with the collaboration of Michael Crowe, Aunties Doggie Daycare grew from its initial location in Ward Street in Preston to three centres in Lancashire in just 8 years.
Auntie’s Doggie Daycare provide a high quality daycare service for dogs/puppies in customised daycare facilities with a dog spa, puppycare, shop and exercise area.
Jo Naylor runs a bespoke soft furnishing service from Buckshaw Village in Chorley specialising in Curtains, Blinds, Poles, Cushions and Reupholstery.
Jo came to us in 2016 with a need for a logo and website. She was already well established in providing domestic furnishings to friends, family and customers, but wanted to put her own brand identity into her business. Jo liked to be involved in the design process and had a clear vision of what she required.
We were approached by John McCullagh of Trade Cleaning Supplies in Chorley, way back in March 2019. John had been dissatisfied with his previous providers and came to us with a need for a new website and a fresh logo design. He found us very easy to talk to and had a multitude of questions that he'd hadn't been able to ask before, or get answers at least.
On the strength of his initial logo design we explained to John its various possibilities and how best to brand his company. John was keen to grow his social media marketing skills and took training from us for both Linkedin and Facebook.
As part of some ongoing marketing services we are providing for 3rd Way Commonwealth Ltd, we produced two animated explainer videos.
We worked from initial conception producing story boards, scripts and slides through to the final videos complete with animation, green screen fx, narration, titles, music and transitions.
We saved time and cost to the client by keeping them semi-animated rather than producing full animation.
